My Quest for a Healthy Lifestyle
What do you think? Is physical exercise very easy or very difficult? Boring or interesting? Which one is it? Initially, it was very interesting to me. With great enthusiasm, I began my fitness journey and joined a gym. But after a few days, I lost all my enthusiasm and found it boring. I felt like going there one day, then two days, and then not going at all. As a result, I didn’t achieve the desired results. Weight control was not happening, and I had abandoned my diet plan. I had very little idea about diet because there was no professional fitness expert at the gym I joined. There was only a local gym trainer with very little experience. A year passed, and I was in the same place, seeing very little change within myself. Low energy, lack of focus at work, no goals set in life. One day, I thought this couldn’t continue.
Then I started searching on the internet, how to stay fit! You can change yourself! Healthy diet, healthy lifestyle! How will everything be set? I found many resources on the internet and felt very happy. Without delaying any further, I started implementing the diet and exercise. Within about half a month, I got a good result. I thought I would give up if I achieved the desired result, so I gave up. But after a few days, my weight increased again.
Whenever I saw something on the internet or in front of me, I started following it—crash diets, keto, balance, cardio, yoga, weightlifting, etc. I did it for two days, then for four days, but I couldn’t hold on like this. Life’s routine had become a complete mess. Not to say all these things are bad, but the rule must be correct. My rule was not entirely correct. Many people think that diet means eating less or not eating. This notion is completely wrong. The correct meaning of diet is understanding the condition of the body (whether fat or thin) and balancing or controlling food intake accordingly, avoiding unhealthy foods and eating healthy foods. And according to research, exercise accounts for 25%, sleep for 25%, and diet for 50% for improving overall body fitness.
I understood that I was not following the right rules.I was very disappointed. then one day, I decided it wouldn’t go on like this. I have to set my life’s routine right. If I keep following different lifestyles every other day, I will never get my desired result. Before that, I need to set my mind, set my goals, and create my own lifestyle routine. If I follow someone else’s lifestyle routine, it won’t work in the long run, and I’ll eventually fail. A routine to follow should be perfect for me because everyone is different, everyone’s problems are different, and everyone’s health condition is different, so the routine chart will also be different. And I realized the simpler the lifestyle, the longer we can follow it in our lives.
Then I contacted a nutritionist and fitness expert, took a course from him, learned a lot, and completely changed my lifestyle. I made a healthy diet plan, exercise daily, work on mental health through meditation, and try to learn something new every day. I keep myself energetic. I keep myself active at work, I never get bored, life seems very interesting now. I think about new things every day, do new things, learn new things, and experience how beautiful life is.
I wanted to share my journey with you because maybe some of you are facing similar problems and wasting valuable time in your life. Adjust your lifestyle yourself, consult with your expert or doctor, and if you want, you can follow it too.
Just as our food is as important as our exercise, many people ask, if I stop exercising, will I gain weight again? The subject is somewhat like brushing teeth, just like something will be lost if you stop brushing your teeth. Exercising helps you burn extra calories from your body fat. So if you stop exercising, you’ll have to reduce extra calorie intake or find other ways to exert physical effort. And remember, just as eating healthy and exercising are good habits, not exercising is a bad habit, and having an idle body is like iron rusting. So we must stay active and take care of ourselves. Until you get the desired result, never give up. With effort and patience, everything is possible. And always stay positive.
